My Bible was stolen!!
haha. well, sorta. This week, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship is doing Persecution week where certain members of IV are the persecutors and steal our Bibles and other stuff. I will get it back...I hope. In the meantime, I have a few more at home :) Last week was rough. This week will be, or already is. Last week, I read 1 John. strong book!! I have been going back to it and reading some of my favorite passages from it. Today, I read an assimilation of verses. I wrote an outline of the Gospel as a project, so I was looking up and reading various verses. I also memorized Philemon 4-7, as well as practiced Joshua 1:8-9 and Ephesians 2:1-10 again. Cool thought, yesterday I had the chance to share the Gospel with some random dude sitting next to me in the hallway.

March 1
Its March fellas.
Lets let this month be about savoring God more. I know that is my plea.
“Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”- Psalm 73:25-26

Thursday 2/25
verse of the day:
Prov 25:28 - "A man without self control is like a city broken into and left without walls."the parents used to make me memorize this back in the day. i understand so well now why. we're commanded to guard our hearts... and the idea of being 'unprotected', broken into, wall-less, means we're not fighting sin like we're called to. thank you Father for the Holy Spirit!
Wednesday
This was i guess for yesterday now, but I read through Ephesians 3 and started to memorize Eph 2:1-10, i got it down earlier but not well enough I've forgotten bits of it already, but i will endeavor to remember over the next few weeks.

Wednesday 2/24
sorry for not posting lately guys. promise I've been doing them though ;) bookmarked for great justice.
anyway, my current plan [until I find my other plan once again] is a daily proverbs reading, then a read-through of Ephesians -- sort of in the vein of this past Thrive retreat, I'm trying to get myself familiarized with Ephesians (and perhaps start memorizing it as well)
so today's was Proverbs 24, and, well, all of Ephesians.
verse of the day
Prov 24:11-12. "Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, 'Behold, we did not know this,' does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?"
I feel like this has both evangelistic and fellowship connotations; am I caring for the lost and doing all I can to "rescue" them? Ultimately yes God does the work, but the command here is pretty clear as well. and in fellowship: if my brother/sister is stumbling, do I give in to fear of man or (graciously!) offer my observations or corrections? of course wisdom applies, but the point is action must be taken.
Wednesday
Today, I read Ephesians 2:11-22 on how we are made one body in Christ, Jews and Gentiles. I really like how Paul explains that we were in hostility against God, but because of Christ's sacrifice, we have peace with God. Furthermore, we are even made part of the household of God, being made part of a holy growing temple. I'm also trying to memorize Ephesians 2:1-10 in the next few days as well as Philemon 4-7. I'm praying that God will really humble my heart and help me to relate to people as well as give me opportunity to bond and develop relationships with non-Christians (I really don;t have any non-Christian friends at this point). I'm holding on to the promise that if I draw near to God, He will draw near to me (James 4:8). I just realized that Isaac was reading Ephesians 2:1-10 on Sunday. haha. that's cool :)
